    Lol joke.
Yes they did. The mini reflector bowls inside the DRL light channel is really well designed.
Also good news is they are sealed with butyl. I literally opened this with a heat gun in a few minutes.

Glad to shed some light here:

Switchback strips and halos as of about 18 months ago have a special driver ("Super Amber") that over-drives the strips for ~1.5sec to make them super intense as a turn signal, after which they dim down. This means, if you run the amber constantly, they are protected against being overdriven and thus won't fail prematurely.

Keep in mind, halos/strips are not designed as replacements for turn signal bulbs, so there is no resistor to slow the flash-rate of the circuit.

The XB headlights replace the stock incandescent turn signal bulb (7443/3157, whichever it is) with a switchback array, so if you run the amber constantly, it's also going to run the turn signal resistor constantly, which means it will heat up and may have issues.

I hope this helps clarify a bit!

Soooo this just came up in one of the FB groups. Wondering if since we’re part of the wholesale preorder, we’re going to get out shipments later than people that ordered off the main TRS site... That would just suck if those orders are prioritized first.

EDIT: quick update, the guy from the screenshot has informed me he preordered from TRS directly back in november with a coupon code. So looks like those first 50 sets are being shipped out to customers finally

Those were orders from when they actually had pre-ordering available starting from last year. So the ones receiving ordered before this group buy started. They are receiving from that 50.

TRS has stopped pre-orders since April and are well aware of this group buy some the beginning. Since they are waiting for the main shipment before taking anymore orders, only the people who ordered before the group buy will be priority.

Gotcha, appreciate the clarification, thank you. Somewhat exciting to see some shipments starting to roll out now. Fingers crossed it won't be too much longer :D

Yes it's a good sign the first 50 are receiving there's. So the next main shipment will definitely be shipping for this group buy. Though keep in mind it's possible not all will receive during the first shipment. Depending on when you ordered. Once TRS informs me the ETA for the main shipment, I will begin organizing the group buy shipping with Nick at TRS.

I just got the email that mine are on the way woohoo. Definitely making steps. I can only speak for myself but when you have $1000+ tied up somewhere and the projected, anticipated arrival date keeps getting pushed back, it is frustrating. Especially because that $1000+ could be used for 1000 different things. I ordered end of February , if y’all wanna use that as reference.

Did you pay shipping? Looks like TRS changed their shipping on XB Headlights and no longer offer free shipping. If so, this could add another $30 or so to the group buy to cover shipping. :annoyed:

The patience is truly appreciated. We have difficulty sleeping sometimes because of issues like those that delayed these lights.

I would think TRS wouldn’t charge shipping at least for the inconvenience that has happened with the lights, but maybe there’s things I don’t know..

I'm checking with Matt to find out about this. Hopefully they'll allow free shipping as you stated.

@eledobleu , all this talk about shipping charges has me a little confused. The group buy included free shipping right?

When the group buy started, there was no free shipping. Then TRS added free shipping to the xb headlights which allowed the group buy to have free shipping. Now I'm checking with TRS to see if free shipping is still available because it changed on the TRS dealer website. I know it sucks but if TRS doesn't offer free shipping then shipping fees have to be added.
