Showdown

Finally saw a Ranger in the wild today, love the color, meh on looks. I took a pic and noticed later that I was behind a Colorado, all we needed was a Gladiator

 

oh man, shit was about to get real!!

LOL, I have yet to see the new Ranger, but a lot of Colorado's around here, which is a good looking truck.

 

Saw my first Ranger yesterday. Wasn’t impressed by it.

 

Ford sold a whopping 7,748 2012, I mean 2019 Rangers last month.

 

I think its very blah on looks as well. I'll be curious to see what one looks like with some work put into it after they have been out a little bit. First one I saw was blue as well.

 

Good luck finding gladiators in the wild...FCA is only selling Rubicon trim levels at the moment and I’m fairly certain only a handful of folks are gonna spend $55K on a midsize truck lol.

 

I've seen one gladiator at the little local dealership. It was sold and gone the next day.
Yet to see a Ranger on the road.

 

The friggin’ bedsides are higher than the window line. Why do the US trucks all do this?

I like aerodynamics but I wish they would use vortex generators or something else instead of making the bed look like a dump truck.

 

It's not a showdown because there's no contest.

 

I recently passed a ranger on the interstate that was in front of a full size Silverado 4x4. Having the direct comparison in front of me, the ranger from the rear is all out of proportion. It looks like they squeezed a full size truck bed from the sides and the extra material had no place to go but up.

The ranger lettering on the tailgate looks wonky as well, too boxy and big.

 

AND - it still outsold the Ridgeline . You know, they "best" "truck" on the market according to Smitty and consumer reports

Hudson Valley region of NY.. Have not seen a Ranger in the wild yet that I can remember. Three times so far I said to myself, "Hey, there's the new Ranger"! Only to get a bit closer & see that it was the fairly rare Explorer SportTrac?

 

Yeah. The 2005 Honda Ridgeline started it...
