Got to TBay this weekend and got my bed cap. Was a fun adventure. We got the apartment we wanted (fingers crossed for the application to go through. Will know tomorrow). Had some fun exploring Kakabeka Falls too. I got a new custom leaf pack with AAL installed before I left. Truck did well, no hiccups except for one of the leafs coming a bit crooked (1/4” out passenger) but I’m gonna smack it back and re torque the UBolts. I put about 2600km on the truck in 5 days.

Thanks, patiently waiting, gathering mod ideas from the forum for now.. so much to chose from. Too bad we have to overpay to get most of it shipped north of the wall

If you don't have the upgraded audio: Subaru tweeter mod was the first thing i did. Went to a local subi dealer and told him the exact part number and that was that- its actually a plug and play swap.

If you plan to get a dash cam - go all out and get a front/ rear setup. I spoke to a couple of guys at the tmmc show and shine last weekend and they all wanted to get a rear facing one as well. Mine hasnt payed for itself lf yet, no accidents, but it's peace of mind.

And go get yourself some wethertechs or husky floor mats.

These arn't exactly mods such as getting FOX struts, another leafpack, sliders, or getting a prinsu rack and a new front and rear bumper.
It might be small ticket items but its a quality of life thing thats decently cheap to start with.

Or lift the truck 3 inches, chop the frame and put on 35s. Idk i'm not a financial advisor.

Don't forget the fiberglass fenders, long travel kit ...

Exhaust relocation, de badging and window tinting...

Steel bumpers ,skid plates and front locker...

Then comes the bedrack and RTT and lord help him when he finds the Meso Customs website....

With all that extra stuff you'll then need a re-gear...

Lighbars and front and rear camera anytime mod...

Tacomaworld makes buying the truck the cheapest part of the whole adventure.

Then you realize you can get rid of the bed entirely and throw on a Aussie made truck bed platform, toss on what is essentially a motor home. Get some Solar panels and a dual battery setup with an off grid electrical system starts to add weight. Just in time for you to learn you need new rear suspension because the old newly upgraded FOX stuff isn't enough anymore.

So the cycle repeats itself again. Where you upgrade the already upgraded parts. This forum is nothing more than a bad influence... Its like a fever dream for your wallet..

But hey you can finally call yourself a true mall crawler

EDIT: i forgot to say you also need to setup an instagram account

Since this truck is my 1st vehicle I have ever owned, I delayed on getting these and struggled for no reason.

@Joe23 With your ARB Bull bar and ARB front recovery point. Did you have to remove one of the tension brackets from the bumper to put the recovery point on?

So I think my front coils are still settling. Driving out of my driveway about 3/4 way turn I’m hearing a small rub. More so if I got a little weight in the back like 200 lbs..
this weird cause they have been installed for almost a year?

Both are in. Just took a little modification. The tension part is on top of my recovery point

Make it happen and get out to look at what exactly is touching.

I had a rub on the inside of the front bumper, the tire would contact the inner fender liner right below the air intake slots on the passenger side.

On full turn going into or out of my driveway. It self cleared a pretty good hole in it.

After a year I would think your front coils are settled.

Many 18+ owners don’t know is that the line assist camera up front in the windshield is a dash camera that records accident and can be extracted for court/insurance purposes via Toyota easy. :spy:

it’s in the manual(either general or tss book) and also in terms and conditions, they also state in print that in case of a warranty or lawsuit they may use footage and use it against you in court. :spy:

Do you know the quality of the video it records? Is it even 720p? Clear enough to identify the plate number?

as usual, in a Toyota traditions they don’t disclose that.
I would guess it’s 480p, we can always find out, who is willing to do head on collision?
