Nah. My Nikon scope is pretty clear until last light and out in that neck of the woods the night skies are so bright that pretty often I can see well even after dark and my eyes have adjusted. At least well enough to slay hogs! I do want to get into night vision just not in my range at this point. One of my friends has some high end stuff/Gov level that I have played around with and it blows my mind!

 

No kidding it's exspensive stuff.

 

Funny thing is I don't even know who is who in the picture. At the time I took this I had no idea who you were. I just had to get a pic of the pit b/c it was epic!

For low light hunting a buddy of mine created an add on called "GotReticle" that is an inexpensive solution to illuminate your reticle on a standard scope. It's not fancy but it's kinda cool and it does help toward dusk.

Yeah I have one. It is pretty cool. He didn't sell enough to keep producing so all he has left are the unsold stock on hand. I can check about getting you one if you'd like.

I know. We live pretty close to the River Ranch and I know they have exotic game out there so I am wondering if it's some type of hybrid of whitetail and ??? I saw it just that first year we lived out here but never since.

Looks like an old whitetail and his rack is declining. I bet he was a hoss at sometime.

 

Could very well be. There are some good size buck around at least for Central Texas bucks they are good size. My Uncle has a farm in Upstate NY that my has been in the family for 4 generations. They get some monsters up there. I want to go up and hunt with them but time and Money!
