If meso makes a damn good lopro snorkel I am in. For now I ordered the injen evolution intake which is ram air and feeds from the fender and the grille area. I am just going to plug the fender opening on the injen intake. With the grille I have I feel like the intake can pull adequate air.

Recently chopped 2.5” out of my fenders for 35’s and decided to do this (for now anyway). $25 spectre filter from autozone on the end of my factory intake tubing (chopped off). Then a piece of fender liner/ABS plastic or whatever sealing off the fender well intake hole. I’ll drill or cut some vents into it so some air still goes up into the engine bay to keep the area where the filter is somewhat cooler. Maybe I should put some vents in my hood for allowing hot air to escape too? Honestly not the worst idea. Adding hood vents...

    Can you design/print a 90 degree that goes from 4" to 3"?

I have an airflow now. It uses a dryer vent for inside the fender. Goes to a 90 degree 4" to 4" plastic elbow. Im looking to replace that with a 4" to 3"

Doozy, did you pull the trigger on this option? If so what did you go with and how's it working out. I can't get on board with the snorkel! @MESO did you have a round off on your inner fender well cover 2 layers? One photo I saw looked like it was rounded, but I can't find it.

Well then.... I’ll report back when I’m done hahah. It’s probably not anywhere near the best solution but I’m never gonna hit water that deep again and it’s more mud than dust out here anyways! Just have to play lead truck!

Would you not be able to have something like this with the mcneil fenders? Why make the tube curve when you could just have it straight like this?

That one sits out from the A pillar a bit. Which is why he was able to come straight down. I wanted to hug the pillar as close as I could get it. Also, his fenders look like have more rise..which will help hide the pipe entrance.
I have already changed my design to make it bend “less”

What Rims are those? I like how that bend looks way more now. Also, the guys at Tactical Application Vehicles make fender liners for the Mcneil +3 fenders. They show them off in this video.

I’ve got the parts to build mine just can’t find a good intake vent. I’ll be mounting mine on the top of my 6” flares. I bought a small hood scoop from Amazon but it was too big. Also thought of a defender 90 wing vent scoop that might work. Otherwise maybe a hummer style intake on top of my fender. :notsure:
