LED tail Lights

the led lights in my tail light quite working (2012 taco). The brake light works (looks like it is just brighter - same bulb - than the tail lights). I took my tail light off but I can't figure out how to change this light. How can this be done?

 

Same thing happened to my aftermarket tail lights, Toyota told me that if they were oem factory they would replace the whole tail light for free. Unfortunately for me you cannot just replace the LEDs so I’ll be purchasing new tail lights at some point.
