Nerves are a touchy thing. If damaged or cut off.... new ones will grow if stimulated. They only grow at a millimeter a month. So how much is damaged and how you try to repair it goes a long long way. I severed 6 inch thoracic never in my back/ shoulder when I was 17. It still gives me issues to this day and I got 95 percent of it back.

 

I did not know this. They named a truck after chocolate swirl? Makes Ridgeline sound more manly.

 

All good, I am not held back by it for the most part.

Lil over 5 yrs ago I broke my back in a work accident. Had 3 surgeries over 2 and a half yrs, severed most of my l5S1 nerve. Lost feeling down the back and side of my left leg.
But here is why I am not upset about this anymore, I was told id never walk unassisted again, never return to work, and was permanently disabled. But worked my ass off and never gave up, was able to get myself to basically normal again for the most part. And proved many people wrong. Really learned who I was during that time, and gained a lot of humility. All things I wouldn't change if I could.

So I am perfectly happy with how things turned out in the end. Made me who I am today.
