    Hmm...
    I don’t know about Wilwood’s on a Tacoma but that’s the same size Wilwood rotor and calipers that I had on my 07 MX-5 commonly known as a Miata. I understand that the owner of Wilwood owns the same model of the Miata so you would think this setup would be plug and play.

    I installed StopTect two piece rotors & brakes on our 5 lug 2015 Tacoma and the StopTech’s went on so easy I stopped many times to see what I was doing wrong. I keep telling myself nothing aftermarket fits this well! The Wilwood’s were a major pain in the @$$ to install and adjust‼️
    Then the brake pads wore so uneven that I pulled the Wilwood’s from the Miata and sold the POS Wilwood’s. Plus the StopTech’s didn’t require safety wiring like the Wilwood’s did. The safety wire did look cool after I was finished but I had to brush up on my safety wiring skills. (Worked for a small aircraft co. PT in high school)

    Didn’t realize Wilwood’s used a safety wire till you mentioned that. I see the StopTechs use Loctite.

    Interesting. The Wilwood AERO 4/6 kits on my Shelby did NOT require safety wiring. (I realize it's not a Tacoma, but it is a similar Wilwood product line.)

    agreed, the oem brake lines are fantastic, but over time the rubber hoses leading to each wheel do degrade.

    Wow, that is tight! Don’t the instructions specify a minimum clearance from the wheel to the caliper? Double check the minimum clearance spec.

    I know was thinking the same thing I guess it doesn’t have specific requirements for the distance there just the distance between the face of the wheel and caliper. But I’m not sure how comfortable I am with 3-5 mm there left. I can’t run the glue on weights :/

    I just got new tires on and they didnt use glue on. they used some that clip on to the inner edge of the wheel

    Yeah it depends on the balance shop. In general I hear it’s best to have them in the middle of the wheel rather than on the edge somehow it’s a better way of balancing (not sure if I buy that ) but one on the edge would be also more exposed to getting knocked off while off road /: thinking maybe I need to sell those and move to a 17” wheel altogether
