Look up “chalk test.” Now you have your answer for every tire and every vehicle ever.

Chalk test is best way but I prefer 30-32 on my GY MTR tires, and this is cold. Warm will be 32-35. I have my buddy doing same on his ZR2 with KM3 but we havent done the chalk test on his, too lazy not my truck lol

@splitbolt what would you say the correct pressure is for 315/75/16’s? Much like this guy, I have a set going on soon too.

Guess you could tell OP what pressure he needs to run too  haha

    Hard to say...

You need a PSI that gets you 1,954 lbs of load capacity.
At 35 PSI, LT315/75/16s have a load capacity of 2,535 lbs. Charts don't go below 35 PSI for LT tires.

A LT315/75/16 is very voluminous, requiring less PSI, all other things being equal.
I'd start with 30 PSI, and wouldn't be surprised if you end up around 25 PSI.

Cool deal. Assuming with full armor front to rear the load per corner will be a bit higher so probably more towards 30psi

Heck I ran my 33’s at like 31psi cold. Yeah my 315/75r16 are already at 30 and we’ll see how they do

25 psi on those D loads will have you floating on the pavement like a caddy!

Can’t wait until my Maxx’s are worn out lol

These were my 315/75/16 at 35 psi cold. Only weight on the truck is steel sliders and skids. CLEARLY over inflated. I’m going to try 30psi and do a lazy man chalk test

I barely have 50 miles on these but so far they have been smooth, straight and fantastic.

IMO 40 is MOST DEFINITELY over inflated. Draw some chalk across your WHOLE tread and drive up your driveway. I can nearly guarantee you won’t see all of your tread footprint on the driveway. You’re over inflated! Sick truck though

Just to give you a better perspective...
    35 PSI in a LT315/75/16 is equal to 53 PSI in a LT265/75/16
    30 PSI in a LT315/75/16 is equal to 48 PSI in a LT265/75/16.
