The only one I can think of right now is the time I became a teenage outlaw...

I was 16 and working for a meat market. I worked the night shift alone to do the cleaning up. One night my boss showed up unexpectedly and caught me out in my car smoking pot with my girlfriend. Of course he fired me on the spot. My parents weren't strict about many things but drugs was something I knew they would kill me for and hide my body in the backyard. No way I was going to tell them I'd been fired for that. I talked my girlfriend into running away with me. Her dream was to be a country singer so I told her we'd go to Nashville. We'd lie about our age and get jobs until she could get contacts in the music industry. She finally agreed.

So, next day I started working out a plan. I had a checking account so I started cashing bad checks all over town to fund the trip. Stocked up on some food, blankets, etc. But when I went to pick up my GF, she had come to her senses and backed out. So, now I wasn't just fired for pot. I had bad checks all over town. I, in my dumb teenage mind, thought I had no choice but to go without her. So I did.

Now the thing about "criminals" is they always think the cops are right on their tail. That "The evil flee when none pursueth" thing. So I was afraid to stop anywhere and just kept driving. I didn't even know where I was going. It was about 2am, going through Lawton, OK. The streets were completely dead so I guess the cop was bored and wondering why a car with NM plates was out and about. He pulled me over and got my DL/reg, and called it in. Nothing was reported so I told him my parents had given me permission to go to Oklahoma City to a concert. He believed me and let me go on my way.
Now I was really scared he would call my parents and put out an APB for my ass. I didn't dare pull over anywhere to sleep. Until I got to Hot Springs, Arkansas. My brain took over and said "Guess what? You're going to sleep" I took out 8 mailboxes and a section of chain link fence. Also the front-end and radiator on my car. I just sat there and waited for the police and told them the whole story. It was the weekend so I couldn't be released until Monday. I sat in the dirtiest, stinkiest cell imaginable for two days. Bright and early Monday my parents were there and got me out and towed my car home. They paid off my bad checks and let me pay them back later. And they didn't actually kill me. They just wouldn't let me fix my car for 6 months.

That's it. I never said I was a good teenage outlaw.

It's legit. I had the best parents ever. My mom is still alive and I get to take care of her now. I owe it to her.

My runner went to its new home yesterday. Dude made it such a long process. So much tire kicking and indecision. It’s like “bro, you can buy a used stock one and build it like mine(minus labor cost and minus my sweet discounts) for 45k+ or you can just buy mine and save a shit ton of money, stop driving me insane”. Glad it’s done and over with.

Just did yard work in 100*+ heat. Now I gotta go make enough food for 8 dudes tomorrow.

    Okay @TacomaDave

    Ill give a story...

When i was 17... my dad gave me the keys to his 1988 GMC fullsize Jimmy... he had it built. Was pushin 500 horsepowers and was mint as fuck. The chicks dug it. Took it out on "the cruze" in my small town with my friend kelly one night lookin 4 hunnies. Had a sick exhaust on it too. All I had to do was give it a few revs and the chicks would be all over us.

Later on that night, we had some punk in a stock R8 tryin to show us up... we eated r8s for din din...

We lined up on main street at the light... was around 11pm... light goes to green...

Me... in my teen testosterone filled uniformed mind had reved the fuck out of it... dropped the bitch into gear to let the horses eat...

Well.... lil did I know... the rear axle on my dads badass Jimmy was still stock (he mentioned this before but I aint listen)

Ripped the mofo in half on the 60ft and the driver side wheel rolled out and dropped the axle to the ground.... the wheel passed me and friend kelly as we ground (quite literally) to a hault.

This was the first and only time in my life i have heard the word "fuck" come out of my dads mouth....

"You broke my fucking axle" he yelled when he arrived 30 mins later.

Truth be told. To this day he doesn't know the truth. Told him it slipped out of gear and when I put it back into drive it broke... not that I was racing his prized show truck.

<he prolly knows I was lieing at the time... but i aint gon admit till he is old enough that he cant beat my ass>
