And, Yes, you do have to cut a little on the rear Shock Pocket if you run stock wheels. When I installed mine, I had Stock OR wheels/Tires, but chose to add a 1.25" wheel spacer and not cut. I knew i wanted aftermarket wheels, so i did this until i got them. I really didn't want to get into cutting the Pocket. I actually liked the Look with the spacers, but am really happy with the aftermarket wheels.

bottom line is, spacers will work also. Post #242 was with the spacers

First experience with any tire rub with these shocks on for nearly a year. Was running on some BLM land this weekend. I was pretty flexed out, which was not intentional. Heard some squealing in the rear and was surprised. I haven't heard or seen anything about trimming the shock mount. Looks like I will be looking for some wheel spacers if anyone has any recommendations to keep the stock wheels far enough out. I'll be going up in tire size in the next month or so, and suspect they will rub at less flex.

It's possible you were rubbing on the shock body then, if you have stock wheels and didn't trim. Mine is the "lift" version, and may have different instructions from the "level" version. I would eyeball the space between the tire and the shock body, and look to see if there are rub marks on the shocks. If so, options would be to get some wheel spacers or consider changing to a wheel with a smaller offset.

Just to verify, when is it supposed to rub? When the wheel is stuffed up all the way, or when it's dropped all the way down and unsupported?
Is the rub only on the back / front, or both?

We're speaking here about the rear shocks. I haven't experienced it, but thinking trigonometrically, when the rear wheel travels up, the top of the wheel swings toward the center of the truck. That's where I would expect it to rub, when stuffed into the wheel well. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

A local shop SWAT customs quoted me at 600 for the install. At that price, I’d rather install it myself.

I watched the instructions online, and it didn’t seem too bad. I don’t like that I have to drill into the frame though.

Pretty terrible design if you have to do any drilling and it has rubbing on the shock body with an OEM replacement.

Okay, it’s finally tire time. Will be pulling the trigger in the next week or two.

I’m running stock TRDOR wheels. Thinking of going with 265/70R16 or 265/75R16.

Anyone out there have any input on this size for Falken Wildpeak A/T3W?

I run those tires in 265/75R16 and love them. No rubbing and they seem to be lasting well. I’m thinking of trying them in 285 if I can ever make up my mind which suspension to buy.

@TacoMilk If you have to drill out the shock mount in the rear, does that mean you would not be able to change shocks again?

265/75R16 will fit perfectly without modifications. Falkens are popular but you can search for tire threads for days

Installed mine yesterday. I kept the front on the middle setting as well, but think I'll raise it to the top slot. there's an inch difference from front to back. Larger tires later when these need replaced.

After reading this thread someone said that Falcon told them that the bottom “MED” setting yeilded about 1” of lift over stock. Others have said that it gives no lift. I want this kit but only want 1” of lift. So, has anyone ran their fronts on the bottom setting, if so how much lift did you get?

Tuned Fox 2.5 resi with dsc, JBA HD UCA, total chaos knuckle gussets, rear trd pro fox shocks, Deaver U402 stage 1 rear leafs, archive garage u bolt flip with fox 2.0 air bumps, White knuckle off road rock sliders, BAMF 1/4” steel skids, Magnaflow exhaust, Archive Garage Hammer Hangers, Cbi high clearance rear bumper, 285/75/16 tires.
The bottom med notch will give a little lift maybe 3/4”- 1”, the second notch about 1.5” and the top about 2- 2.25”. I had my shocks on every setting testing them out. It probably depends on what springs you had to start out with like the sr5,sport, or Offroad I imagine the rates and lengths are slightly different depending on the configuration of the truck.

What did you end of deciding on? How much difference in the ride was there between the three settings?
