From what I remember, pre-order was with free shipping.

 

Exactly, TRS had free shipping with Pre orders. It could be an error on their website and could change when the shipment arrives. I'll see what Matt or Andrew say about this.

 

I have no problems waiting and being patient...it’s nice to have this group to chill with whilst we wait...the chatter is a great way to pass the time, but in all fairness this is an agreed upon price we have invested in here...if trs decides to change their minds on shipping and such after the fact that’s on them!!! They should honor everyone’s orders that were made with free shipping!!!

 

Agreed but according to them xb headlights aren't free shipping due to their size. So there were errors made on the website because some people received free shipping. So unfortunately the shipping has to be included on all orders that were made and all new orders.

Good news is Matt did say they expect to start shipping other orders in about 4 weeks.

 

Did I miss something here? I’m confused...this was confirmed through trs now it’s changing...I’m not down with welching on agreed pricing!

 

Trust me I know! Im already stressed about this group buy and now things are changing again. February the free shipping was available at TRS, now its now. Remember the group buy added free shipping because someone noticed that TRS had free shipping on the pre-orders it will was changed.

For everyone else who still wants to participate, since TRS charges shipping based on location I will simple charge a flat fee for shipping depending on which part of the country you live to help with all the mis-information during this group buy. All orders placed from now on will be based on table rate standards.

 

shipping from TRS in 4 weeks? that's not bad. i was expecting them in july when i placed the order.

I'm all the way in california would i still qualify for the flat fee? if it's upwards of $100 can i give you my work UPS account to use?

 

It wont be $100 thats for sure. Yes Matt informed me that "expect" to start filling more orders in 4 weeks. How many exactly Im not sure but definitely will be people on this group buy.

 

If you go to the TRS website at this moment (I just did) you can add them to your cart, and it offers free shipping.

Not a huge deal, but a bit of a bait-and-switch to retroactively require folks to pay more on a product they've already purchased, don't you think?

 

I agree. That's BS if were all going to have to come up with additional shipping costs. TRS had a 20% off sale on memorial day weekend, I could have placed the order right through the main TRS site, selected "free economy shipping" and been done with it for the same $1000. And Techsan is right, the free shipping option is STILL active right now on their website, I just checked as well.

 

Not trying to get anyone to pay more. As stated before you can cancel if you dont want to pay the shipping fees. I always post proof of any info I receive from TRS Either way its still a huge discount on the headlights.

 

Their 20% off never includes XB headlights. Most you can receive is 15% off during their sales for XB Headlights. Ive already informed Matt about the free shipping error on their website.

Again if you want to cancel let me know via DM and im more than happy to cancel the orders.

Look I’m not trying to argue at all, but when this code was up and active, it did work on the XB’s and brought the price down to $1000 with free shipping. If anyone who ordered from TRS’ site at either the $1250 or less price point gets free shipping, just makes me feel like we’re getting shafted a bit in the group buy. Like does that mean anyone who ordered from the TRD site and selected free shipping is also going to receive a notice to pay more for shipping well after they paid?

Again, I'm not trying to start a big commotion. If I have to cough up a few more dollars for shipping, then so be it. I'm just more annoyed that if those who ordered directly through TRS' website and not the group buy or wholesale site get free shipping when we don't. Just the principle of that I find a little messed up.

 

So my invoice that says “free shipping” will require me to pay for shipping?

 

The code was active on the Xb headlights by accident! It was a huge problem with all the dealers because of this and the xb headlights was excluded after it was known to TRS. Im not trying to up prices on anyone, as a dealer for TRS I have to follow their rules. Their regular website allows free shipping now but again I have already informed TRS about this so they will update the site and change this soon.

 

I completely understand and im doing my best to offer everyone a good deal on the lights. But TRS wont allow me to utilize the free shipping I will have to charge unfortunately. But Like I said I will offer flat rates for those who have ordered so far, any new orders will be based on table rates.

 

The contract you agreed to was more of a guideline.
