I have a faint pulsing/rumbling when decelerating under certain conditions but I don't have any of the wheel/pedal shaking that some people report. To be honest, I barely notice it now. I'm not sure when it began but I've driven the truck about 7k miles now and it doesn't feel like it's gotten any worse.

The only other issue that has ever stood out to me is the acceleration does feel anemic sometimes, but again, it's not something that has been a persistent problem with my truck. I can drive for days and not notice anything, then I'll have a random moment where it feels a bit sluggish and I'll just give it a little more gas and everything is fine.

With all of that said, I mainly use my Taco to commute on flat Florida roads and occasionally haul a dog and other random crap in the bed, so it's not like I'm demanding a lot from it. I really enjoy driving it though and have no regrets about my purchase.

Thank u @camillethetoy and @Always Be Blazing for the response.

I can totally agree about holding these trucks to a higher standard. I think thats why i have been a little extra disappointed a few times with my 12. Like having the 4wd issues, squeaky clutch, broken leaf spring, etc.

    Anyways thanks again.

Having had two 3rd gen Tacos and more mechanic visits over the last 2 years than all the other vehicles I have owned COMBINED, I would not recommend buying one.

Long story short, first tacoma (2017 SR5) had the same issues, 5 attempts to repair with no fix led to Toyota buying back under lemon law. 2nd truck (2018 TRD OR) has the same issues, has had 5 attempts at fixing, Toyota denied buy back stating that the issue was not wide spread so it must be driver error. My fear is that the issue of bad rear brakes and shaking/vibration will lead to a larger and costly problem down the road.

What if you guys replaced the rear stock shocks to Fox or Icon. Maybe it would help with shaking......

I took mine to 2 different dealers and left it at one of them for almost a month for them to just tell me the shake is normal operation. The worst part is I believe them after driving about 8 different Tacomas. Some are worse than mine and the only ones that seemed better were the TRD Sports I drove. I also have another guy at work with the same issue on his 2018 TRD Sport.

I’m having the same issue with mine. I have a 2017 OR with about 30k on it. Low speed vibration started happening right after I got my lift about a month ago. Hoping replacing the needle bearing will fix the issue. Will post an update once I get it done.

You need to shim your driveshaft. Vibrations noticed after lift are a result of the excessive wobble in the driveshaft joints.

I crawled under the truck and noticed the cup (piece of metal holding the drive shaft up) bearing was bolted on crooked. I loosened the bolts and eyeballed it and tightened the bolts. This helped a little with the vibration as if the drive shaft was misaligned. But still feel it a little....however more tolerable. BTW bone stock no lift

I have the bad vibes when braking. This is on my 2019 TRD OR with 2000 miles. Had it in once to have the dealer check it. They just did a brake inspection and said they wanted to wait until 5000 service to check it again and that's it. I opened a case with Toyota on July 31 and today they called back saying they have a new TSB, T-SB-0071-19 and want me to take it in to my dealer to diagnose if this TSB covers or fixes the issue I'm having. fingers crossed. This is the 6th Tacoma I have owned and none of them had this issue while braking except this one the newest and most expensive one.
