whats the best style or type of traction adder to put in the diff of "prerunner" that occasionally goes of rocky/rough terrain? i am debating on whether or not to sell my ARB locker and put something more desert running/mild wheeling friendly.

As for the gussets i could not find the solo ones. give me the link. and if you want to make them yourself go head but you need all of the tools to do it and its going to be cheaper and less time to buy them. Also you have to sorta know what kit you are getting because some kits have heimed uppers and that makes a difference one what will work in the future and what won't. Misalignment spacers only go up to certain sizes.

for the locker just get a lock right or whatever they are call and sell the ARB if you don't want it that bad and get something less and use the extra to get it installed. a LSD is going to be a waste of your money if you get one. pretty much everyone is locked in the rear with some type of locker out there. o

 

I am in the same boat Oliver. I am still fumbling the idea of buying an ARB locker or not. I have 4.10s ready to be installed, I just don't know if I want to have a locker.

If you do sell your locker, how much?

 

I bought the ARB locker for 700 with the High Output compressor and am currently unemployed so I would probably be trying to sell it for what I paid...maybe start a little higher.

I am kind of a little maybe sort of happy that I do not have a job. This will be a little lesson on how to save money and a lesson on "when money is tight" type of thing, and I cant figure out which gears to go with either so gives me more time to decide.

And Chris I am thinking about an LSD but want something like the locker well because the ARB is bad ass. I still need to do more research on the different types of traction adders because I am still not 100% on how each of them works and the pros and cons of each.

Your going to run 4.56 with what size tires? Ya I looked into the lunchbox lockers and they are a great bargain for the money...it just boils down to me not knowing what I really want lol

 

just lincon lock it.....it's way cheaper and then you never have to worry about pushing the locker button or waiting for it to engage

 

Good point but then its a constant lock which is something I do not know if I want

 

I wouldn't run it on a street vehicle myself...

thanks! and for being completely plug and play, they aren't too bad for light output either. i just need to dial in the aiming and then i'm done. after looking back, i know what not to do on my next set. i figured after a few different combo's, i'll get it down perfect
