I replace more Fox steel braided hoses than any others from damage.

I don't like screw together hose fittings, the argument is you can field "repair" them but the hoses never break/ leak near a fitting to reuse them.

I can cut, crimp a new hose faster than dealing with the non crimp fittings.

Same. The steel braided hoses that Fox puts on their performance series shocks is not ideal. I even think they put it on the "Factory 2.0" series which makes no sense to me. A -8 crimp/cloth hose would be much more ideal.

I like being able to adjust hose length easily. I've not tried this with a crimp style. I'll have to look into it a bit more.

-4 or -6 2 wire is large enough for all 2.0's.

You adjust hose length and fitting timing/rotation before you crimp the end on. uncrimped they slide over the hose easily to mock up.

Spray some lube on the lower spherical bearing and see if that helps. Mine squeaked badly when they were in need of replacement

Lol, have fun with that. Mine sucked to rebuild, so much that I've defected to Kings...

Was it the fittings at the threads or where the hose meets the metal?

They developed a bunch of little cracks, but the leak appeared to be from where the rubber meets the metal

Quote for rebuild was around $500 shipped with a 700# coil swap for the fronts. Honestly.. a lot less than I was expecting compared to how much places not named ADS charge for rebuilds.

ADS charges $300 for rebuild on the fronts with a 5-day turn around according to them. Not sure how much new coils would cost

$100/ea. Didn’t tell me about the turnaround but I figured it’d be quick since it’s not terribly involved looking (I just don’t have a spring compressor or the need for one past this.

For those of you with the adjustable reservoirs, what setting do you normally have them at when driving around town (daily driving)?

That’s the extra cost for the coils .. just in case you’re thinking that’s total :anonymous:

Either way, I’m not paying for a spring compressor.

I have a first gen so I'm not sure how similar our coilovers feel but I like mine right in the center at 10 clicks. It seems to be the sweet spot of good cornering support and bump sensitivity.

5-7 clicks up from full soft for front. 1-4 up from full soft for rear. Running 700# ext travel and only a bed mat, softopper, and box with Dakars in rear.

If I feel like driving it like a car or carry a load I stiffen everything up. Off-roading slowly = softer. High speed trails = little stiffer
