    the Engage truck was first in line at tech... passed tech with no issues... on the return run from tech back to our camp, there was a grinding noise in the rear diff that could not be ignored...

    the decision was eventually made to pull out of the race instead of risk further damage to the rear end...

    totally, however, suprisingly, in the last 6 years that I have been going and shooting these races, this is the first spectator related accident of this kind that has happened...

    when out there, you really need to be aware of the hot zones and know where debris or in this case, a truck will end up...

    i have an earlier clip of someone prerunning the course and everyone in that area was well away from course... once the race started, it was a completely different story...

    and i will admit, for the sake of footage, i wanted to post up in the hot zone of Rock Pile, but something just kept nagging me to stay higher up on course where i ended up...
