A properly spray-on bedlined truck is fine. It’s just the gooey runny roll on crap is what I hate. It just looks like someone threw up on it.

That’s one of the good things about bedliner, nothing hurts it.

    Even mean words bounce off

It’s functional I’ll give it that. I just personally hate when people bedline trucks.

    It’s bedliner. Not truck liner.

It's paint first and foremost. You can put it on anything, hell it's even tintable.

I was never a fan of bedliner, even on beds. I like my drop-in bedliner. You can throw whatever you want back there and you won’t dent or damage the bed.

Only downside is moisture getting under it.

And if you bedline, you can't hurt the bed either. I'm honestly surprised only Chevy has learned after 28 years of the stuff being around that they should come from the factory with it.

It's sorta just a bro truck so saving money and putting in a composite bed would make sense. I don't think I've seen a current gen tundy with more than a piece of Ikea furniture in it.

I’ve seen spray-in bedliner beds still dented to hell, even if it was bedlined fresh from the lot. The drop-in liner just withstands better to impact and rough use.

My dad's 08 bed rusted through under the liner and got replaced under one of those "oops" clauses by the dealer.

Not that his is the current model, but he bought it new and has hauled boats, sleds, deer, camping crap, building materials, trash, etc. with it and that thing is a badass truck. 4x4 trd quad cab w/ the 5.7 - best truck he says he's ever owned in the company of 1st gen tacos, a 4x4 precoma, yukons and suburbans

Drop in liner? cause that's kinda what those do. They just rub off the factory paint and primer and trap garbage and moisture until something gives.

It was in the corners next to the cab. Came with it from the factory. Drain holes could have made that not happen, but for some reason it didn't have any.

    What’d you mount it to?

That’s exactly how mine are mounted, except I only attached it in one place at the lower mount of the center radiator support.

That center bolt, and theres another m6x1 threaded hole exactly 6 inches to the right of the center hole. Dunno if a trans cooler bolts there on the automatics or not. But I was glad to get 2 bolts in it as that thing was heavy.
