It’s more common then you might think, you could feel it, or you could be sound asleep when it happens.

Have a flutter in your chest, or some random jaw pain. Chest pain, back pain, Hence why it’s important to get an annual physical that tracks a quality EKG.

Hell. Every other year I usually ping for my fire house physical for “Sinus” “Arrhythmia”. Which is comical. My heart rate/beat/cycle is all normal but it has a normal “blimp” every once in a while.

It’s a tricky ticker that heart.

Hate hearing things like this with little kids. Definitely will be thinking of you guys and hope it all works out.

By far the best news I've heard all day.

I am hoping it was just an anomaly, but definitely going to take it seriously. I mean I've abused and continue to abuse my body almost daily. I always have some minor aches and pains. I also have a pretty high tolerance though, so I may have passed off symptoms.

The kicker is my blood work and blood pressure are better than they ever have been. Lost 40 lbs and havent had a cigarette since Monday. I start living a healthier life and start calling apart...WTF

Also common, guys ignore crap (except the effing man flu) left and right, which is that whole, meh, shake it off concept. But that being said if you start now, if or should something happen, docs will have a base line to compare to in the future. For example, annual fire house physicals are a thing now with the two leading causes of death in the fire service being cancer and heart attacks, we do a full work up, including hearing, eye, labs, breathing and x rays. We even had to poop on a stick this year (let me tell you how fun that was being the only female at the meeting the night we were "taught" how to do so) to check for colon cancer. Now what can be done, is should we die in the line of duty, or some significant event occur, docs can pull and see what is normal and what is abnormal even on the EKG.

So, PSA: Get your yearly physicals!

My mom had colon cancer at 42. Now I have to get checked starting 10 years before her diagnosis. thanks mom. She's cancer "free" since she had her surgery in 1998.
