Try to use a torx that is just big enough that you have to pound it into the the plug this trick has saved me on many a stripped Allen screw/plug. Edit: next time you strip an Allen that is.

Taking my kids and parents to Glacier July 2nd - 5th. We'll be staying at the Whitefish KOA for 3 nights. Been years since I've been to Glacier.

What are the key places to take these guys? My mom only wants to see Glacier and my kids. lol

get everyone up early and eat breakfast in the car...get to logan pass EARLY, like parking before 8am early, or you wont get a parking spot.
Hidden Lake overlook behind the visitor center at Logan is a popular hike and fairly easy but there are a lot of steps in the boardwalk so not so easy if you have bad knees
    hiddenlakepano.jpg

Trails of the Cedars is an easy hike, add in Avalanche Lake if you think everyone is up for it. Not a terribly challenging hike.
    avalanche.jpg
Sun Point Nature Trail and Bering Falls is also a pretty easy trek on the east side.

I assume you'll be driving the entire Going to the Sun Highway. If you have the time to make the drive from St mary to Two Medicine I highly recommend it. Takes about 1.5 or 2 hours. Two Medicine is my favorite corner of the park. From Two Med you can catch Highway 2 along the southern border of the park back to West Glacier, about an hour non stop.
    Untitled_Panorama1x.jpg
Running Eagle Falls is also in the Two Med area, the upper falls will probably be dry come July but its a easy hike and pretty stop regardless
    _MG_5148.jpg
The Drive between West and East Glacier is pretty and worth the time if you have it.
I also highly recommend the Seeley Swan Valley - probably the fastest route from West Glacier to Bozeman. The views south bound are a little better. Its a two lane road with lots of pullouts to take in the scenery - just watch for the brown campground signs and signs saying wildlife viewing area. One of my favorite places in the whole state (and you know that's saying a lot coming from me!)

    Thank ya!
The last one was with a Canon 10-22 and the others were mostly with my 24-105, several shots stitched together in PS.

Nice. Especially love Seeley. Was always my favorite drive in MT. Livingston through N Yellowstone and then off to Beartooths is pretty sweet as well.

LOL I need to bookmark this reply.

And yes. You know this state like nobody else. Hence why I tagged you! haha.

If it was just adults we'd probably do every scenic thing we can. But I'm worried the kids will hate the long drives. Might not get to see everything we want as we'll have to entertain the kids somehow.

You left out the Huckleberry doughnuts (bear claws- semi world famous)...

We had to drive from Billings for a weekend trip last Oct(?) so the wife could try them.
