Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Are any of you guys guitar players, and familiar with the Fractal Audio Axe-fx forum and community?

This thread is like a twin dimension of their forum and product release process.

I guess it makes sense. Small business, putting out a highly-touted software with lots of iterative updates in very high demand to a community of discerning users.

Just a silly observation. I'm really looking forward to installing my OVTune.

 

Thanks Phich! Pretty much what I planned on doing based on the consensus of most of the OVTune warriors' experiences. Glad to see someone else who has walked a mile in my shoes! 1.05 here I come!

 

Can we get some more info on the dump pipes too?

Thanks for the feedback! You're making me miss my years spent in Colorado! I'm a sea level dweller these days (Western NY) but the upside is at least I have 93 octane at every station. I've really appreciated your constructive comments on this thread.

 

I hope to have all of that to you guys this weekend. It sounds really nice with the TRD exhaust that's for sure.

Also do the dump pipes void any smog requirements in CA?

 

Can't give any firm dates right now.
What I can say is -
All shift points will be tuned on the dyno then revised on the street.

4.88 tune included.


All downshift limits are fully tuned for every gear.
To help resolve the issue with dead spots in throttle ( due to torque demand and torque converter locking sequence) we have expanded all shift and torque converter tables.

We have spent a lot of focus on refining and cleaning up...rewriting sections of code.

There is a lot to go over, I'm just juggling a lot at the moment with wrapping up this R/D. Have to get this done before the baby arrives.

Sound clips will be provided .
Dump tubes are strictly for off roading use only.

No, but I can appreciate the similarities. Good stuff is appreciated the most by good people. We are all here (for the most part) because we love our trucks and want to make them better.
