I’m doing some metal/paint remediation after my clutch master cyl leaked fluid into cab. Does anyone know the best way to remove the clips that hold down the wires under the sill plate without breaking them?

@EatSleepTacos did you remove these when you sprayed your bed liner floor?

Oh fuck I have no idea. No I didn’t remove those. I’m sure it’ll just take some finagling to be honest.

I believe those are held in with the press fit "christmas tree" style push connectors. You can buy a tool that will pop those right out. It looks like a screwdriver with a Y-shaped fork on the end. You slip it underneath and pry and it pops right out.

Thanks! You are correct on the style. I used a 5-1 tool and a little coaxing which worked but it wasn’t the right tool. I just ordered the correct tool for next time.
