Good to know. I've been eyeballing those since pre-production, just can't get past the price tag.

I have both. A Dometic 65qt for food & a Pelican 45qt for drinks. One or the other doesn't hold enough for 4-5 days camping way out (like BB Ranch State Park). It's a 2 hour drive from camp to buy groceries or gas. I like having the best of both worlds!

You're planning wrong. I and two other adults lived off of just a cooler and canned goods for 4 days in Big Bend. You're planning wrong.

Agreed I have done a week on a 45qt fridge 2 adults and a teenager. I can easily do 2 weeks solo on the 45qt fridge. You have to plan and package correctly.

    This and...
This. It really comes down to how long and how hard you wanna go. I like cold drinks after years of eating ambient temp canned goods.

I'm not planning wrong. I being properly prepared for eating good. We eat real meals for every meal, as in eggs/bacon/sausage for breakfast, burgers or sausages & a cooked side or 2 for lunch, steak or chicken w/2 vegetables for dinner. I completely fill the 65qt fridge w/fresh food/meat. No way in hell you can pack all that in a cooler. I've been camping for my entire life, many times a year. I assure you, I'm eating better than you when camping if you're doing it out of one cooler. I'm not going to settle for shitty meals because I want to try to cram it all in one cooler. I can even have frozen goods (ice cream, frozen desserts, etc.) that there's no way you can enjoy w/out a fridge. And if your camping in BBNP, you have the option of getting more stuff (ice, groceries, fuel, etc.) a whole lot faster & closer than camping @ BBRSP. 2 different ball games.
Only thing better than a fridge & a cooler is 2 fridges!

Sweet! Looks like a Prospector. I love the AEV vehicles. I hope they break into the Toyota market relatively soon. They recently released wheels that fit some Toyota models. I would love to see them create a snorkel for our trucks similar to the one on the Colorado.
