    Hello,
My friend and I did a JDM Swap because my old engine blew HG.
Now we are running a problem on putting the Power steering belt, basically it’s too short it’s 1070mm comes from a timing belt kit i bought off of ebay from aircabinman. Did anyone have this issue when you did the swap? What did we do wrong?

if you swapped all of your original accessories on to the new motor there should be no problem.

I got it at JDM Pro at Santa Fe, Ca area. Whichever you go for shopping check the engine thoroughly, check what’s going on under the oil cap, compression, and leaks. Don’t take no for an answer. They’ll try to bring you the engine after cleaning it, hoping you would just take it as is. That’s what the first shop (JDM West Coast) did to me. They have 3 shit engines. I walked out of course.

The JDM motor has slight differences like pulley size, accessory size and type, intake, etc. The block is always the same.

Try swapping your accessories from the original engine.

Also compare the stock belt to the new belt to make sure it’s correct.

we did notice the crank pulley that’s on it right now has 5 ribs vs my original with 3 or 4 ribs, i think that’s the mistake. It basically protrude the pulley 1/2” closer to the fan making the power steering belt making it looks like it’s gonna slip when it’s running.

Yup, I’ve heard you have to use the original pulleys as the JDM are different
