Ok folks, after not quite a week I wanted to share my impressions on the upgrade.

My initial inspiration was the @bshammer0 : Premium audio thread which you can refer to if you want to go the same route. I did not install any subs, just the door speakers.

I am very pleased with the service from Crutchfield. Their packages contained everything to install the new speakers. I do say packages, plural, as it took 3 separate deliveries to get all the bits and pieces. No real impact from this, I just thought it was an interesting way of doing things. I want to say I paid ~$300cdn for the Kickers?

I'm not into huge sound, but I do listen to podcasts and enjoy a variety of music. I didn't really realize how anemic the stock speakers were, beyond having a hard time hearing people talk while driving at highway speed. Previously installed tweeters did greatly improve this shortcoming, but it wasn't perfect.

It is hard to convey the improvement in writing, but it really feels like I was previously listening in Mono, and now everything is coming through in stereo. My ears are just loving it. The sound is clear all the way to the max settings. The bass is pleasant, without any rattling.

Again, props to my wife for the help installing the sound deadening. And for those who recommended soundproofing the back wall: fuck you! Now I can hear the road noise coming from the rear.

This exactly! Thank you. There was no information on this as far as I knew, so I just rolled the dice. I am contemplating getting the new bestop supertop 2 for clearance, third brake light, the black hardware and I can no longer fold her back... but no one makes an over the topper rack system like they do for these softoppers.

I bought two extra per someones suggestion here actually!

I paid shipping cost to hawaii for this, plus a day off of work to pick it up from the barge, so it cost me quite a bit which I traded for the time and frustration in making one that would never look aesthetically pleasing to me in the end.

    Cons:
    The height you lose/space
    Power outlet loss (subjective)
The amount of drilling instructed for install, not sure whether that is particular to tacoma or not.

    Pros:
    Waterproof.
I just had to put it together.
It’s a decent platform for my kids to sleep or hang out on.
Sliding drawers are nice and slidy.

I’ll let you know more in due time. haha. These are all just my opinion though, and I of course bought it knowing the trade offs. Kudos to you on saving money and building something to exactly what you’d want and need. A big single sliding drawer would be A great utilization of space Nice addition of the reflective insulation btw.

Any reason why you chose that particular remote start over say 12V Solutions? Has anyone done a comparison I wonder...

I’ve heard nothing but good things about N2 and quite a few folks on this forum use it. Complete plug and play and hides well behind the steering wheel. Plus @N2DesignsInc customer service is second to none and they stand behind their products

Upgraded my lighting setup on the C4 bumper that I had Shmellfab customize for me. Went with 2 pairs of Baja Designs XL80’s amber and white combo driving lense. Also running BD squadron sports amber for fog and white for ditch lights. The rear has a pair of flush BD s2’s. Still got S2’s for right/left scene and rear to install. Check out the pix!

Only comparison is the service and support we give, no one on here has said they've ever experienced anything like it. And the price.

We've got both of them beat compared to our competition because you're getting the same hardware. None of us are manufacturers. We chose to not be greedy because of our company name...when we could be. But people work hard for their money. there is no reason to rob you of it. We're comfortable and blessed, as well as content knowing you paid a fair price (phenominal price) for the same hardware from the same factory direct source, and get the service and support that sets us apart from the rest. We've set the bar VE RY high, and have noticed our compeition is trying to follow suit with it, but can't. You and your satisfaction come first, not money..even if it means I have to pay out of my own pocket to ensure it. That in its self could warrant apples to apples pricing, but then again, we're exclusive here on TW, so we chose to treat our TW forum (family) members with courtesy and exceptional concessions that would otherwise not exist. We also priced ourselves as to never have to price match anyone because we're the ones to beat.

Don't believe me? Check out the links in my signature. I challenge you to comb through all the threads and pages and find me ONE, just ONE bad or negative review/feedback...if you find one, keep reading until you see I made them love us at the end...out of the hundreds, you'll find none that ended with a person walking away pissed.

Know how many refunds due to angry customers we've had inside and out of this forum of the hundreds sold here on TW and thousands not? ZERO. How many refunds total, ever here on TW? Two. Because of where the people lived, it was TOO rural to get signal on their smart phone, can't knock that, we tried and so did they, that's something we can't control. EVEN WE are at awe/shock that these are the statistics...just can't be...you always have that one unhappy dude no matter what...not us. We plan on keeping it like that.

Edit: Had to mention this but here are some scenarios some would balk at where I've personally stepped out and offered phone support to those in need:

    - Wife in the labor ward, (hasn't gone into labor...yet at least; yes I was playing Russian Roulette with that one). Told her it was a pit-stop to the restroom for a #2 to buy myself time, when I got back told her had to go one building over as the restrooms were being cleaned. Don't tell her.
    - Funeral of someone I didn't even know that was some how connected to my wife's family. (Yes, I stepped outside).
    - Birthdays, Baptisms, New Year's Eve/Day, Christmas Eve/Day, 5AM, 11PM...
    - Weekends, early, late...(I'm not a business hours type of company). You need help now, while your trim is open, not on M-F 9AM-5PM when you're at work too. I give my personal cell out without hesitation. What owner does this?
    - While on vacation
    - Sliced my hand 3" gash top to bottom on the meaty part of my thumb finger, flesh peeled back and needed stitches before a customer came for an install at the shop, but his schedule made it really hard that this was in the works for a longtime, rescheduling would put it out further. I almost passed out from the sight (or maybe lack of? LOL) blood. Rescheduling, not an option. Super glued that $hit, wrapped it, did the install, then 2 hours later walked in to get my stitches. This happened yesterday. The gentlemen is on this forum. He offered to even drive me to the ER lol! I declined because that's not his problem! Offered to tip me, told him I'm not a restaurant waiter, it's what I do! I even gave him a hand held light bar for his troubles (he had issues with his first set of hardware, switched it out and did the install for free).

There's much more...I just don't have enough blood in my system to fully recall at the moment :(

Tell me, what company, any company has this level of service and dedication? I'd buy stuff from them.

What’s the quality and fit like? I see Parts Geeks has multiple versions of the bumper cap that cost more.

For now I bought a pair of the 2018/19 TRD tails (the ones with the black internals). If I decided to move forward with ones of Meso's tail mod then I have a good base, but ugh....had to lose that chrome my stock tails had.
