A.R.E. cap!

I really really like my new cap! A.R.E V-series, had 'em add the center sliding window, Yak roof rack, and I opted for the battery-powered LED dome light. Tell me what you think

I have a V series as well and it's a great value in a shell.

 

Have you driven in the rain yet? How is your rearward visibility without a wiper on the back window?

 

Looks great man! I've got an ARE like that except it's Indigo Ink. Just wish I had that sliding window though. I don't have a problem with visibility out of the back window when it rains.

I like the ARE topper as well. This is the "Z" series.

I see your shell doesn't wrap over the bed-rails? Did you specify that?

 

Looks good on your reg cab Pauly...looks very utility and practical.

 

Looks really good!! I have a V series with Yak racks too and I really like the quality of the paint, but the quality of the windoors is terrible!! Your windows should be good to go though since you don't have the windoors.

 

Mine doesn't cover the bed rails either. I think ARE designed it to fit if you remove the bed rail caps.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone- I definitely feel that this cap was money well spent.

KenLyns- Haven't driven in the rain yet, so I can't tell you about visibility... but I have a feeling it'll be fine. If it aint, I'll try Rain-Ex on the back window

whitebread- yeah, the V-series shells do rest on the bed rails instead of covering them, but I like it just fine: easier to keep clean, won't trap salt in the winter, and with the black-on-black it looks good to me!

hoosiertaco- I almost went with the windoors, then decided not to because I worried about rain leakage etc. Sorry to hear about the poor quality, and glad I kept it simple


One thing I really like about the racks is how they come with rubber boots that you can put in the channels if you decide to remove them. Also the fact that the racks actually LOCK to the channels is nice as well.

Next step is bigger tires / cooler wheels...

 

I like it. Wish I would have ordered the roof rack on mine.

I've got darn near the same ARE shell, and admittedly the visibility gets rather poor when it rains, but nothing scary
