Give Baja Designs a call. They have part numbers for just the SAE lights both the clear and amber. I was on on the same boat, I had the bezel kit already, so I just purchase the lights.

Just to second this, will the lights plug into the Sport-R harness?

Correct - you are not required to buy the entire kit if you already own the Fog Pocket Kit. The Squadron SAE shares the same mounting system and will bolt right into the current fog kit. The connector is the same and will have the ability to plug right into your existing fog adapters.

This kit is 100% Plug and Play for vehicles with OEM fogs. Works on the Tacoma from 2012 up to 2019

The Squadron SAE will plug into the normal Squadron wiring

Here is a question we received on another forum:

In the United States, fog lights require SAE J583 compliance in order to be used on any official roadway. Since fog lights are not mandatory on a vehicle, DOT doesn’t have a requirement for fog lights and has left this as well as many other requirements up to SAE to determine the standards. Through their expertise, Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has come up with and agreed upon a standard for all US fog lights (J583) to adhere to. These standards require the lights to meet very strict guidelines to maintain the safety of motorists. The new Baja Designs' SAE Squadron meets these strict standards and can be used legally in all 50 states as a (J583) fog light.

How does the output/pattern on these differ from the regular wide cornering squadron sports? Obviously the cutoff is going to be sharper but is the output/range less?

The Squadron SAE will offer less off-road performance compared to the Squadron Sport. It's range will be reduced slightly compared to the sport and it's mostly because of the SAE cutoff.

Would it be best to wait for the tacoma kit or just purchase the amber SAEs (294.95) and then the Kit you sell without the lights (134.95), basically putting together my own kit? Any issues doing it this way. I dont mind waiting if its worth it, seeing as they are not ready to ship yet anyway.

That is 100% up to you. If you don't feel like waiting, you can purchase the lights and mounting kit in the same order.

Our Tacoma kit in Amber is coming if you feel like waiting
