At work we get tested once a year also. I missed my last test because of being out on medical. It was rescheduled for next Tuesday.
I use custom made plugs that were made for my ears. The company went to this style 2 years ago. One reason was the cost of disposable ear plugs. And people just threw used plugs on the ground. Ear plugs all over.

A strange thing is happening. With all these people that work from home or aren't tied to an office, we're seeing more and more younger snowbirds. Late 20's, 30's and 40's. Some have grade school age children who home school. Starting to consider some kind of playground.

Good morning. I really don't want to go to work today. One volunteer needs a hose for a pressure washer and that would all I'd go in for. This needs another cup of coffee.

    Good morning.

That looks awesome! I can smell that from here. And now I'm hungry..

I get my Shingles booster next week thanks for the heads up! One of the joys of being in the "young" 60's crowd.

20 years of listening to turbines and pumps in the bowels of ships sometimes in double hearing protection required areas. And the Navy managed to loose my baseline audiogram. I always wear hearing protection shooting but from previous exposure have hearing loss and without my baseline can't get disability rating from VA to get hearing aides in a few years when I will certainly need them. I can fight it and may. Right now just pisses me off.

Haven't been in the office in more than a month. Just need high speed internet connection where ever I am to work, unfortunately that is not available in most places I want to go. Although after last winter you may very well see me for a few weeks next winter as a trial run. If there is any room left down there!

Took off Wednesday afternoon to drive to a hotel North of Medford Wi. to shoot all day yesterday. Start of the Great Northern Side by Side Classic

    Super Pigeon.jpg

40° when woke up yesterday morning at 5:30

    hotel morning.jpg

Got up to 60° which was awesome. The mosquitoes and gnats were so thick you could see your shot string sometimes as it plowed through them. Some of the roads are closed from flooding and so much rain this year. Breeding grounds for Skeeters everywhere in addition to the bogs and swamps that are always around.

Was great time shot from 0900 until 1900 5 of us closed the place down. Some SxS in the rack at the 5 stand station

    5 stand gun rack.jpg

Liked most of those shotguns better than the $20-$30K old English "Best" guns in the main tents with makers cases. Guess I'll always be a ridge running woodchuck.

Off work until noon and I plan on using the term work loosely. Need to unpack yet and clean the bugs off the windshield so I can see got home around midnight last night.

Group of 9 us that know each other spent most of the day together. Of the 9 only 3 of us are not retired. 1 of the 3 is a partner that started a company and was told couple of weeks ago he has met his financial goals and can retire now. The other has already retired as a mechanical engineer and now works 3 days a week and will pull the plug on that gig soon. This is one area I don't want to be the last man standing and still working. Retired from the Navy more than 20 years ago but still working so guess I am just retarded not retired.
