But after thinking about it seriously I realized yall were the perfect replacement for aggy.

Texas has been irrelevant for 15 years in all major sports

 

I don’t believe I’ve called anyone a redneck or a hillbilly.

Texas football won a MNT in 2005 and played for it again in 2010 and I don’t see winning the sugar bowl last year as irrelevant.

Baseball also won a title in 2005. Runner up in 2004 and 2009

Basket ball was in the elite eight in 2006 and 2008 with sweet 16 appearances in 2004.

That’s the three major sports in the last 15 years.


I think wvu is hosting a baseball regional for the first time since the 50’s? So at least you have that going for you but thanks for reinforcing the steroid type.

Know your role. You should just be happy to be a part of this conference. At least some of your games are on television.

WVU has had multiple Sweet 16s under Huggins in the last ten years, our baseball team was top 15 at the end I believe.

UGA didn’t show up to that game because of the whole ‘we’re SEC and we deserve three shots or more at proving ourselves’ mentality. Texas wasn’t good last year. Hell, WVU wasn’t and we beat Texas at Texas.

Big 12 is just an ok conference, barely better than the ACC. Terrible leadership, worse officiating. I thought aTm and Mizzou were stupid for leaving, but they’re both way better off financially having left.

Having said all that, where has Texas been at in the last ten years in it? Silent? Thought so. Keep waving that Longhorn Network flag like it means a damn thing.

Looking at the data, Mizzou has actually gotten worse and lost tons of money by switching. Only sports that got better were women's sports (which includes men's diving and swimming).

 

Honestly confused how they’d lose money based on SEC financials. That conference has bent media companies over.

 

Over doubled their spending and not quite enough to cover in revenue.

 

Which is insane considering what the revenue share is from the SEC. Maybe the same people running their compliance department are also overseeing their accounting department as well.

 

I don’t get on here and trash other schools except for wvu because of one ungrateful fan and maybe Alabama for their entire fan base oh and Oklahoma because they truly suck.
But besides that.....
As far as conferences go I have zero affiliation other than the fact that Texas plays in one. I’m just pointing out to wvu fan that they should be extremely grateful that they were allowed to play in the big xii when no one else wanted them.
You can talk about better money in the sec but you were never going to be in the sec so that’s a moot point. And I don’t believe the aac where you would have ended up pays very much.
Your school got paid $34 million for basically doing nothing. Of course Texas got and extra $15 million from our network. But that doesn’t really concern you.

I want to be very clear here because text is difficult to interpret.

I mean you can believe that all you want, you’re entitled to be wrong all day. The SEC went with Mizzou because they thought it’d be a better market (it isn’t), and now they have to live with that. The Big 12 loves WVU, regardless of what you think. Their immediate offer to WVU after the SEC took Mizzou shows that. Texas and WVU have split their football series so far (iirc) and has been utterly below us in basketball since entry. For a team you consider lesser, you get awfully defensive fast.

You have a great 8-9 win team with the occasional 10-11 team. The best!
