I believe you, if you say you researched then I believe you. You have to understand, a lot of people here claim to have researched and they didn’t. So a lot of us get skeptical. I’m sorry I didn’t see you were a female, I use this from my phone so I don’t pay attention to the small info bars. I just see the user names.

Congrats on the new truck, and the build. What are your plans and what have you done to it sofar?

Idk... people make mistakes. Sounds like he acknowledged it and sent you the replacement parts. Sounds like good service to me...

Personally I love my KBVoodoo rack. Built like a tank, takes whatever I can throw at it, and keeps going. Yea there’s a touch of rust here and there sometimes, but nothing a brush and some CLP won’t fix in a min.

For sure. The powder coat isn’t good. Just hasn’t been much of a problem for me is what I’m saying. Like I said, nothing a touch of clp wont fix.

I count it as a blessing in disguise that he kinda screwed me over before I even bought a rack. I just feel sorry for anyone else who did and got boned somehow.

His customer service is horrible. PERIOD. Never apologized for not packing my parts. We requested overnight shipping for HIS error AND even offered to pay for it. Said overnight shipping wasn't an option and he ended up sending it 3 day and told me it would be here in 1-2 days. I am happy to hear that you love your rack. I am sure we will too however customer service is what it's all about! If he continues to provide crappy service - it won't matter how good his racks are.

The sad thing was... he was sure quick to take my money. Website showed in stock, but it took almost 3 weeks to send it out. Each time we reached out via email since he doesn't have a phone...we got a very short answers.

I ordered the KBvoodoo Hi-rise Bed bars on 5/1/2019 I received the brackets on 5/5, and the crossbars on 5/6, installed them in under 20 minutes.. powder coating seems durable enough, but time will tell.. I dont plan to have the brackets/rtt on the bed in the winter. and wth the crossbars de-tached I can use them as handles to get my RTT into my basement before winter.. 130lbs +20lbs of crossbars, me and my wife should be able to handle it easily..

Their racks look like poorly constructed erector sets. I'm amazed anyone buys their shit.

KBVoodoo has interesting offerings, and if you are lucky enough to receive what you ordered, when it was promised, you are likely to be a happy customer, at least until your purchase quickly rusts away.

However, if anything goes wrong with the order, you are in for a terrible experience. As you say, his Customer Service (meaning HIM) is the worst. He has a really bad attitude, and he will repeatedly lie to protect his interests and to demean your character.

Sorry you had this happen to you. There are many much better companies and people with whom to do business.

Idk, I think it’s a bit much to expect overnight delivery on a forgotten part. Not even Amazon did that for a part they messed up for me this week. 3 days sounds reasonable to me.

He likely can’t ship it out that fast based solely on the fact that other companies fabricate and powder coat his designs, which you couldn’t blame someone for being skeptical about at this point either now.

That’s BS, the company I work for if we make an error or if a part has flaws that our QC department missed. We will at our expense send out whats needed Next Day Air even without the request to do so.
We value our customers and have a strong reputation in our industry.
To the OP, welcome to TW and sorry for your troubles and thanks for the heads up on a terrible company. I seen the KB-V name on TW often enough to think they were the CO. of choice. Much like WildPeak tires. It’s until you dig deeper is where you find the truth.

Fun fact - he doesn’t make any of his parts. They’re outsourced for fabrication and powder coating, and he ships them off.

He likely can’t QC like a normal operation, or based off screenshots of correspondence, doesn’t care. He lost his vendor status for a reason.

No, no it doesn’t especially since they offered to pay for the expedited shipping.

The simple fix to this is to have a inventory of spare parts on hand when issues show up he can expedite the fix and rectify the problem. Chit happens. Its what happens after customer makes contact in wether or not he/she will do business again.
If he is offering a finished product also he needs to find a better powder coating operation from the comments here.
