I'm looking to upgrade from the factory "skid plate" and am looking for something to offer improved protection in the form of greater durability and coverage.

I'm looking at aluminum though to keep weight down. I don't rock crawl or anything and think aluminum would best fit my needs.

Any recommendations of best value aluminum skids or those to avoid?

    Thanks!

RCI Offroad in 3/16th Raw or powder coat. I just bought the entire skid package: front, tranny, transfer case and fuel tank skids in Al. Also the diff but that only comes in steel but that's cool seeing it's the most exposed and needs the extra strength of steel.

Does your transfer case skid have a bump down that looks out of place?

It’s not out of place if you have a stock exhaust that goes below the prop shaft. That bump provides the space for the pipe to pass.

I get the argument but I've been pretty happy with mine. It has taken some good knocks and fared okay. But I wouldn't use it if I was all about crawling.

If anything it's just one less thing where I have to fight rust. Worth it.

I have @Mobtown Offroad aluminum skids and they've been great and fit perfect.

I'm not rock crawling just looking to.increase coverage and protection over the factory skid without adding a ton of unnecessary weight.
