Just find another car that has ac that doesn’t work. Hook your ac up to its low side then turn that car on. Let thAt compressor pull a vacuum on your ac

 

My job gives us ones for free too.

He should just go work as a refer tech for sears

 

i saw an old 4runner on the streets here the other day (not sure how old) ... most all body panels were the swiss cheese, so I suppose it was early 90s

 

my new neighbors have a newer 4runner, i have not had chance to chat him up about it yet

i asked the salesguy helping me out at the dealer yesterday about the people buying these new Tacomas
don't quote me "people actually like the looks of these" ... i am very old school ancient Toyota dude and the appearance change is just way too much for me to handle at times
i will still respect those buyers ... its their money

 

So is mine in the Z right now. But it really doesn't work that well in 110+ degree heat. Kinda feels worse when you're moving on the highway (which because they're concrete with black asphalt) can be up to 20 degrees hotter than ambient here.

 

my research showed that $6k for 4runner is what the high end NADA table shows for '97
for some reason the Tacoma is valued twice that

 

there is a big discrepancy with NADA and KBB for some reason

 

That's how the ac in my truck is. Ice cold if it's 75-85 degrees outside...but in the summer heat it blows hot.

 

The outlet temp is only 20° cooler then the inlet temp

 

do you have extreme humidity there?
tons of that here all the way to TX in the summer

 

Why do they gotta be soo tal

 

The air going in the evap only drops about 20° coming out the evap. So if you arnt on recerc it wont feel that much cooler.

If you receculate the cab air it will slowly get cooler
