Is there any reason i should not go with Black Wavian gas can? Heat up issue with sunlight? I want to use the Black cans as just a color preference.

Aren't gas cans supposed to be only red?

Just sayin but I’m pretty sure some states have laws about what can and can’t go in certain color containers

    This.

Even though they are considered or labeled gas cans, some states have laws on color.

Nope. There are SAFETY regulations for industry on colors but no general laws.
For example, OSHA or DOT can bust your ass as a company if you don't follow their rules on fuel storage. For an individual citizen there are no laws on color.

Idk what black would be used for. Water maybe? I'd follow the standard color coding system and use red for gasoline

I am just trying to keep a Black & White color theme going. I was just trying to find out if anyone that may be running Black cans had any issue from the Black color heat build up from sun exposure or anything else. Red cans are really stand out.

It’s well worth it. I had one in green and it’s rock solid. Poured really well even with the safety spout, and never ever released so much as a hint of fumes.

The Wavian cans are worth every penny.

Anyone suggesting a plastic can should fill it up here and drive up into the mountains of Colorado and let me know how that works out for you

I have 4 wavian cans and I’ll never use anything else

I’m sure the black coloured ones would be fine, otherwise why would this company (one which seems to know its stuff) offer it?
