I’ll give you that.. but my god, if you listen to some people they won’t pick up a Phillips #2 screw driver unless the handle says Festool.

I really like my Festool track saw and their dust collectors are top notch . Next up I'm getting the DF 700 Domino joiner to build the doors for my shop and might get the Kapex chopsaw to go in the shop

I own the domino, it’s a great tool. Just irks me when people can’t see past the name

    Nice

I plan on getting the 500 possibly later on , want the larger capacity of the 700 to build my doors first off though

Yes but if you’re buying multiple kits they said to call for better price. I have old quotes for 3k for 1”

So I've taken down all of the popcorn.

Do i still want to do this to the ceiling? There's definitely spots I need to fix with mud, but the whole ceiling?

    thoughts please

also note, i do not want a textured ceiling, all I want is to apply paint to a smooth ceiling when done.

I scraped all the popcorn at last place. Wish I hadn’t. I had to skim coat all the ceilings and spray knockdown texture to hide all the sloppy work popcorn hides.
    Good luck

Holy Moly, realize you're in the great white North but what's the exterior wall thickness?

Their track saw and domino are hard to beat. Ditto dust collection. Have two biscuit joiners, Kreg Jig system and the Domino. Use the Domino the least by far, but it's invaluable when needed (strength it adds is impressive).

If you want the ceiling to look good, I’d do the whole thing

Must just be the angle of the photos, looks like 8" or 10" sidewalls. Sub'd to see the extension jambs!

Installed a 6' Simtek privacy fence recently - overall very pleased with the result, and extremely happy to have had a hydraulic auger for the posts; tons of clay to get through here in WI. No setback required, but I did 6-10" to avoid possible neighbor arguments.

...Went to take a proper photo now that the excess clay was removed from the grass, soon to be deposited at the local dump. It feels great to not have to view the neighbor's stuff all the time, as what is seen is a common occurrence.
