That was a big adjustment from earning 312 hours/year. Actually, I still haven't adjusted to it. LOL!

 

I thought those were good until I read "Not designed to be completely submerged", I do have a snorkel so completely submerging isn't off of the table.

Yea, talk shit about the military but you earn an entire month of time off in one year lol. Not bad if you have a CoC that let's you take it.

 

And therein lies the issue. They give you so much time off but sometimes taking it can be a fucking nightmare.

 

No joke. On the boat I was so qual'd they would be like "You have to find an alternate to take leave."

 

Whereas now I’m like “yo imma take next Monday off” and they’re like “for sure dawg” and that’s that. Just note it in my timesheet. Its weird being treated like an adult.

You're arent wrong. Anytime I wanted to do anything I had to find someone to cover me and then I would have to repay them by covering them and standing double duty just to take a week off.
