Just Curious? Anyone Painted Their Brake Calipers?

Has anyone painted their brake calipers on their Tacoma?
Probably look off-balance sense only on the front.

 

I suppose that if you really cared about the "balance", you could paint part of the drum...

Nah, no need to paint calipers for me, but if that's what you want, do it!

 

I will eventually because the nice coating that came on the calipers factory are now dull and streaky because of a Maguire’s wheel cleaner/over spray (through the spokes). When I do paint them it will likely just be black

 

There is a special epoxy paint made for painting calipers that's impervious to brake fluid.

 

Does pink paint stick to them ok?

Yes if you use the epoxy painting system that's recommended (but I doubt it comes in pink). Corvettes can be ordered from the factory with a choice of 4 different caliper colors and seem to stay on fine.

I'll try to find the name, friends of mine have changed the color of their C7 calipers with very good results.

 

I’m assuming it’s not the standard kit you can get at your local box store

No, I believe it's made by one of the performance break companies, Power/Stop maybe.

 

No, initially thought it may be someone being a wise-ass, but then there's a pinked-out Tacoma in my area, so perhaps not.

 

Some Tacoma owners like to dress theirs up a bit others prefer them looking like shit and others somewhere in-between. No right answer, its whatever brings the individual owner the most pleasure.
