    Was chatting with my sales associate and was told the following;
    Toyota will not sell Pro parts, his example the pro grill, unless your VIN matches a pro. Question, if true how do OR owners purchase pro parts. It sounded untrue, but my sales associate is a straight shooter.

    Sales has nothing to do with parts. Even if they give you a hard time there are many other dealers you can buy form.

    Plenty of us buy OEM. You just have to find a source that doesn’t jack around customers like the OP is dealing with.

    There's a dealer selling complete OEM Pro grille kits on ebay. That's where I got mine.

    I bought my OEM pro parts directly from my local dealer. They have the grilles and wheels displayed at the parts counter.

    i went to the dealer where i bought my 19 ORLB to talk to the fleet mgr that i bought it. he remembered that i was asking about the pro grill. we both walked back to their parts department and they asked me for a vin. they said they cant sell me one 1. because i dont have a pro. 2 because i dont have a pro vin number. 3. because they would need pictures of the damaged pro grill.

    Why wouldn’t a dealer want to sell you a part regardless if you don’t own that specific model?

    I’ve bought Lexus FSports parts for my non fsport Lexus from the same dealer the car came from.

    Your salesman is only as straight as his bow is.

    It is pretty weird when one dealer is encouraging pro parts sales to non-pro owners, and the other is looking for a urine sample before they’ll open the catalogue.

    i agree. i mean i work at a vw dealership in the parts department and we have people come in all the time for parts for their audi. i mean we can not offer them any warranty on parts that they buy from vw to put on their audi but i will still sell them the parts that they need.

    My dealer has a SR in the showroom with Pro grille and SEMA wheels.

    If he can put a Pro grille on his SR, I can put a Pro grille on my OR.

    If he don’t want to sell me no Pro parts, no problem... Chinese do...for fraction of price.
