45°? Sound like a torque to yield bolt. It is recommend to always replace TTY bolts cause they're designed to stretch when installed properly. Of course not everyone does & I have reused them too but it's usually the smaller bolts that are more critical & break from fatigue. Luckily I never worked on American cars much or other vehicles that used them.

 

they dont mention them being torque to yeild. only that i have to turn 45 degree. damn fords stupid designs,

 

I always thought TTY bolts were the ones where you torque to a specified torque followed by an additional degrees of rotation. That additional rotation is making them yield. But I suppose that's not always true. They say many head bolts shouldn't be reused even on the ones tbat don't require additional degrees of rotation.
