    That’s our new used comfy road trip vehicle that will also hopefully have a dead elk in it this fall. Not to worry, @H3llRid3r, my taco “Whitey” is with me for life.

    You know it, dude. It would be fucking nuts of me to regear without throwing a Harrop in the front. Now I have to reorganize my garage, build a work bench and get a press from Harbor Freight so I can do it myself instead of being a puss and paying someone else to.

    Here's a cheap mod I discovered as a precursor to a pile of expensive mods coming up. These stupid camper shell clamps always loosened after a few miles of dirt roads. Then I'd have to crank them down again with gorilla strength until they'd bow in and look like they're about to snap:

    These are way better and the kit came with 6 clamps. Now my shell is crying out for a roof rack.

    Does next weekend work for you? If so, I'll get everything ripped out ahead of time. If not, I'm free any other weekend that works for you. I have a 4 day weekend for the 4th of July holiday and no travel plans. I can also snag some of my work tools if you think we'll need them. I've got new-ish torque wrenches, a digital dial indicator, Snap-On air tools, big-ass sockets, etc... Thank you again, by the way.

    I'm not sure if you remember this due to the absurd quantity of scotch we drank that night, but about every 10 minutes your eyes would light up like you just thought of the idea and you'd say "I wanna go do that river crossing again tomorrow!" That is still making me cackle to myself.

    Haha, now that river is running at over 1000 cfm's (around 400 when we crossed), I think I'll wait to cross it again.

    I'll be out of town for the 4th weekend but the following weekend would work or any weeknight.
