I was inspired by one of the Benchmade brand pocket knife called the "Emissary 477-1."

The handle was machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and hard anodized. It has a finished texture similar to that of a chock board. Some might hate it. lol!

Powder coat would be easier. There's a local shop near me that can do it for next to nothing. I have to see how much the machining will cost first. lol! And the heat. It would be bad if it's beautiful but burn your hand to the touch. lol!

I just looked that up and from the pics i'm guessing it was lightly bead blasted first then anodized so be sure to note that. otherwise you're gonna have tool marks and it'll be ugly. hard or soft anodize won't make a difference for your application.

if you're worried about heat transfer then powder coat is the way to go. you can get powder coating done in a textured finish too. anyways, i don't want to side track this thread but if you have any questions regarding metal working feel free to PM me. it's my day job.

I am going to adjust them tonight. They definitely need to be angled up more out of the box.

For the sequential turn vs blinker turn, all that is needed is to unplug this connector. Sorry for my confusion when reading the TRS instructions. They didn't make that clear at all.

Yeah that’s how mine is. But there was no need to run a power wire to the fuse box. So I am thinking they revised the final production to work with vehicles without LED DRL hence the extra wire needed.

Yes sir indeed. They just didn't make that clear in the instructions. Unless i read them wrong. All is good now. Just need to adjust the angle on them.

Zip tie and some massaging got the puddle light harness through the drivers boot. That took up my afternoon getting those installed. Another awesome product. And now the morimoto xb led headlights will complement your stage 2 tail light kit as well.

No ETA exact as of yet. Last I heard from TRS was about 4-6 weeks which was about 4 days ago. Also note that pre-orders that were made early on in the group buy will ship first. Its on a first come first serve basis.

It really depends on where you are at on the list when you order, and how many units TRS receive during the first shipment. I honestly believe they didn't expect the Tacoma headlights to be such a high demand product so its hard to say how many they will receive on the next shipment. Definitely they're will be more available on the second shipment I would assume.

If you are to receive yours on this next shipment TRS receives, keep an eye on your email. TRS said 4-6 weeks but I'd say around August if the shipment goes good with customs.
