Good day everyone! Going to a friends retirement party today and went to a friends funeral yesterday. What a swing of emotions.

Great pic! I see a huge GForce card in there so I'm wondering which one you picked. I have a RTX2070 in my home system and love it!

My wife and I both have NWFalcon Talons. I used to home build all my systems, but got tired of being my own support staff.

 

Since they went to a universal case i got a dual core quad and just keep upgrading the graphics card and memory, haven't had to build a puter in a long time

If course I rarely play a 20 year old game, soooo there you go.

 

The hotel we are at is the one the wedding couple reserved a block of rooms at. Not my first choice of places to stay.
So we wanted to check in early. Hotel said sure but you won't.be on the same floor as the rest of the wedding group. I said great .
We get here and now they have a room on the same floor as the wedding group.

 

New housing going up next door. Gonna be a long, noisy next couple years...

 

I feel your pain.
McMansion across the street has been ongoing for 2 1/2 years and they just started gutting another house diagonal to me.

 

You know how the dealer sends out the junk mail for trade ins?

They've been after my F'n'J for a while. Couple months back they offered 29k and now they're up to 34.5k and a SR5 4Runner for 6k. That's what I paid in 2014.
Think i'll hang on to it for a spell.

 

I'm not sure what's going to happen across the street. We have a big empty field that's partially zoned for commercial, not sure about the rest. Luckily nothing has happened yet. Hoping nothing for as long as I live.

I got him the ASUS Strix GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB OC edition. The 20xx range was only an option if he had more A's on his report card. It's a fast card so far. We've only had it running since last night so we'll see how it goes over the next few weeks. The deal my son and I put together had varying levels of components, depending on how many A's and B's he had on his report card. I gave him an incentive to get his grades up. I'll probably give him some upgrade options for next semester.

I haven't done my own build for years. My desktop is still running great. I did have to replace monitors about a year ago. Otherwise, my system is about 6 or 7 years old. At least my main one is. I actually have about a dozen other computer systems around the house. All from the 3 month old laptop to the 18 year old server still running.

 

On the plus, they're going to be higher end units so I should see a bump in property value. We knew this was going to happen when we bought the place so can't really complain.
