Lil man’s 8th Birthday is tomorrow along with Father’s Day and he is stoked!

I did all the house work yesterday and yard work this morning because his party is at Main Event this afternoon. Laser tag and gravity ropes for a group of 10. Gonna be killer!

His party theme is Hot Wheels and he picked out 3 new hot wheels for his cake topper. He just told me that he needs a new car case because one is completely full and the other only has room for 1 car from the cake. Which is hilarious because most of the time the cars are all over the floor!

Yeah I'm trying to keep my nose out of stuff like big brakes, suspension, and so on. I don't want to get to a point where it's like, "well shit dumbass, with all the money you spent you should have just bought a damn Type R" :notsure: I want it to look subtle but stylish and be a bit sharper feeling in certain areas, and that's all. Straight off the lot it hits boost just as fast as my modded GTI did, the only thing it lacks is the short wheelbase hatch feeling, though it is still plenty sharp.

I realized that I learned this lesson with glocks long ago- not that you can't mod them at all, but start to pile on things other people convince you that you need, and you will end up unhappy with the results. My desert tan Gen 3 has the sights I want, a drop-in trigger sear, and a slightly extended mag release. Nothing else. Barrels, springs, slide cuts, grip plugs, just left it bone stock. Pick the things that customize it to your preferences and then run the hell out of it. Spend your money on ammo and run that bitch. :fenforcer: It's probably my favorite pistol now and I can shoot it pretty damn well.

On the Si I will go for an intercooler eventually because desert temps suck for turbo cars, but past that I can't see myself doing much to the motor. On the 1.5T Si it has been optimized to the point where the turbo is basically the bottleneck, so there aren't many gains to be had anyways.

I do have a stainless clutch line, a new slave cylinder that I am going to de-valve (accumulator delete) and a Type R motor mount that should make the clutch bite feel a bit less vague. Into that like $250 or so.

Otherwise, it's probably just stuff like pads and rotors.

The chik-fil-a smoke house bbq bacon sandwich is pretty legit!

I don’t eat fast food hardly at all, but the boss wanted a salad for chick-fil-a so I figured I would give it a try.

    It’s a slippery slope!

When I got my ‘04 STi, I started with intake, exhaust and a tune.

Next it was larger turbo and intercooler and suspension.

Finally it was built bottom motor, even larger turbo, carbon fiber everything and roll cage.

does Anyone know we’re the StopTech bbk are being sourced? I looked on their site in multiple areas and found only 4pot calipers and rotors. I’d sure like Find our more about them.

Edit: found it through SOS and not StopTech

I think the SOS kit uses a custom bracket and 1pc rotor if I am not mistaken. Are you talking about the full size wheels kit or the one that is designed to cram under 16" wheels?

Unrelated but, JDM side markers are so much better looking than the amber reflectors.

Easy as hell install too, one of the few things on this damn car that took like 10 minutes tops.
