Any issues with drilling into composite bed??

    Does this attach to the floor of the bed? If so, it’s a waste and you’re not going to be able to use a bed mat.

    Why not put $2 D rings in the bed bolts and secure the spare down with ratchet straps?

    No drilling required and a lot less money. Plus, you have your bed available with just taking the tire and straps out.

    i was in between that one with the straps but ended up going with the angled one, i plan to cut little openings in the bed mat where i plan to place the mount also

    That works, too. I’m always using my bed so I would wouldn’t want to remove the mount all the time.

    Whichever the case, plenty of owners have drilled into the bed, especially the floor to mount air tank underneath, etc. Just use a metal plate or large washers on each side to secure everything.

    I drilled to mount the air for tires and horns. No problem that I can see

    I did plenty of cutting and drilling when I installed a driver's side storage box (taken away on the 2019s). It's like a fiberglass compound. Cuts and drills nicely.
