Is the “Limited” actually limited?

Like John221us, I like leather, sunroof, garage door openers, etc. I'm 52 and I wanted something to throw the grassy, muddy golf clubs, mountain bike, etc in that wasn't the back of my car. I don't know how much I'm going to mod it. It's been great for what I need/want.

 

Paging @oscolivar1....., any recent pics of your limited? It's always been one of my favorite.

The stickers, racecars are covered in stickers.

 

How I do it is this- I look over every part and say “would Ironman run this on his truck?” 10 times out of 10, the answer is no. Therefore nothing on a TRD has been developed for racing. It’s Total pRofit Development.

Lmao. I saw this thread but didn’t add in lol. The 2016 and 2017 is the real limited as it offered leather and other goodies as it’s the main reason I got it.

The Limited is around for the limited number of buyers that don't want everything flat black.

 

Yeah, that hickory interior looks nice.

I like the hickory interior, but I don’t like all the exterior bling. I’m pleased with the ride on my OR. I’d have to drive a Limited to see how it rides and handles.

I priced a Limited online: it costs $500 more than a comparably equipped OR with Premium and Tech Packages. I guess chrome plastic is more expensive than black plastic.

 

The wheels may be more costly.

It had most of the things I wanted. I just listed a few of them. I didn't think it was necessary to recite the whole sticker in order to get my point across. To name a few more; separate driver and passenger side climate control, heated seats, JBL sound system, etc. I realize that many/most of these are not exclusive to the Limited, but the limited had everything standard that I wanted (except electric seats and CarPlay). I don't need a locker, as I never plan on rock crawling and I don't have anything against a few chrome accents. The truck looks good to me and seems tastefully done. I did add a soft tonneau cover, a brake controller and I have a Bolt n Lock on order, but that is the extent of the "mods" I intend to do. I am not sure I "love" the truck yet, but I do like it a lot and intend to keep it for a while.

 

I doubt they "limit" production of them, but they aren't "common" either. I see a lot more Offroads and Sports than Limited.

That said, I could not be happier with my Limited. If it were destroyed today, I'd buy a new white Limited Tacoma.

Limited is only limited if the driver limits it .

 

I was impressed how easy it was to option out my Tacoma. I selected a TRD Off Road, double cab/short bed/automatic, and clicked on just two options: Premium Package and Technology Package, and that was it.

Those two gave me everything I was looking for: leather interior, heated seats, power sunroof, power slider, automatic dual climate control, premium sound, garage door opener, blind spot monitor, and rear cross-path detection. And I couldn’t believe I got all that for a sticker price still under $42,000!

It would have taken a LOT more options —and money— to get a comparably equipped Jeep Wrangler.

 

Limited is the name that Toyota gave to it’s “luxury” trim for their models. Ford has Platinum, Ram has Laramie, and Chevy has LTZ. It’s all the same shiz.

 

You didn't even have to buy a "Limited" to get those things either...
