What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Ordered from Ebay. $112. Holes for side pins are a little big. Broke quite a few retaining clips on bumper pad when removing. Going to remove pad and repair clips with epoxy as soon as I can figure out how to remove license plate lights!

 

I’m guessing he reason it’s so long for my dealer is that he’s a small shop and doesn’t have a lot of volume with ARE. He might have to wait for several several cap orders to get enough for one shipment.

 

Got her here in AZ, Stock I've done the mods over time.

 

I got them on eBay and if you get them make sure and get the “ready to paint” ones. Then just find a reputable body shop and the install is on YouTube. The clips are tough to reinstall but there is a video I used in the thread I started yesterday. Post pics of you do it!

Install is super easy. Took me 5 minutes.

Only draw back honestly is the Toyota safety feature that it turns off when you open the door. Also it takes a second to start after you hit the button 3 times but you get used to it

 

Reach up from underneath with a long, flat blade screwdriver to release the tabs and push the whole assembly out. That's how I swapped my bulbs for LED, because I couldn't get my hand in there to twist the bulb out from underneath.
