Why doesn't toyota put keyless start with a manual?

I was looking for a tacoma and 2016+ but they don't have a push to start with a manual... What a shame. I mean its great that toyota puts a manual but no push to start? Even my 2015 mustang has a manual and all of them come with push to start weather you like it or not and I love it. Why cant toyota put a manual and push to start? Other cars have manual and push to start like the brz for example or the ford focus st etc... I know the manual is dying and I wish more companies would make manual but this thread is containing tacomas and just wondering why toyota didn't do that.

    Because they didn’t.

Yes other car manufacturers have it. Tacoma’s don’t.

I had a Camry loaner with the push button start, it's alright I guess. I'm perfectly happy with my key.

Tacomas don't have the self parking feature either, but I don't think any brand offers it on a standard transmission. But who needs self parking any way?

It would have made it better then I would have been on the tacoma because the automatic transmission suck because I drive a 2017 2WD 2.7L for work and its not bad except the transmission sucks to hell thats why I wanted a manual as my personal truck and with a push to start. Sure I could get an aftermarket one but I want it to act like its stock and not me holding the brake or clutch to turn it of for 5 seconds. With my mustang it just acts like a normal car would start and I can start up fine with no assist like the toyota clutch start cancel. Both my cars have push to start and I have a 2013 toyota venza.

    Punctuation, man.

You get a key with the Manual transmission. Nothing will change that

    I hate push button starts.

Now I will accidentally leave my keys in the truck all the time because I HATE keeping my keys in my pocket.

So I’m going to enjoy my old school 2013 as long as I can.

I don't need any other assist. People are just to lazy to drive on there own and expect a computer to help them drive.
Sure I could get a key with a manual tranny but why couldnt toyota have put it a push to start? Simply isn't it or am I missing something. This is what I am talking bout https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UL4QpplaOU go to the 3:57 min mark and that is what I am talking bout. I don't want to hold the button down. Aftermarket push to start don't actually function like the real thing.
I always leave my keys in my cup holder or for my mustang I leave it in the coin tray in the center and I never forget my keys. I have days I bring 2 keys on separate key chains because my other key chain has my membership card on it and for some stupid reason my gym wont give out 2 key scanners but I cant complain because I am only paying $10 for gym access.

I think it has no push button start because MT taco has clutch start cancel switch to get you out of gnarly situations. It works better with a key im guessing

Just like you, I wear skin-tight pants. I can’t have keys up in there. Also I roll around a lot on the floor. I put my keys in my socks. Try it-

That is my theory too, you are able to ride the starter motor out of a hairy situation.

Looks terrible. But boy there’s a lot of room in those socks. Got snacks, keys, a gps, toothbrush/toothpaste in there. Just as long as you’re not doing any leg stuff.

So you have enough room for your moustache wax? If not, you’re wasting space.

The only issue with clutch cancel start is you have to push in the clutch to take out of 1st gear to start the truck. So it’s not really clutch cancel.

Keys are SO 20th century. I'm with the OP, I never want a key start ignition again.
