I mowed today too, only got stuck in the mud once! It's been super saturated around here for a good year, maybe more. A couple of the springs swamping my yard finally appear to be drying up though. Which is good because I have been checking out small trenchers, with which I would make a ditch the damned water could fall down into, hopefully letting me actually be able to walk on the rest of the ground around it. But it would make a true mess of the yard. Although compared to ruts from getting the mower stuck, hmmmm.

Happy Father's Day to all of the dads here!

What an awesome privilege it is to be a father. With that awesome privilege comes an awesome responsibility.

Fathers are to be the spiritual leaders of their home and that is a responsibility not to be taken lightly.

I hope everyone here has a great day and all of your wishes come true.

Hi Ken :woot: for puppy sitting!!! If the dog in the back was all black, it could be Annie. We're doing well - find out in the AM if I get to stop taking my meds. :notsure: if that's a good thing or not.... Haven't had any issues while on it..... How are you guys doing?

Doing much better than last year. Missus is finally off some of her meds but is now having issues with sleeping. Hopefully that will all get worked out. Best wishes for you tomorrow with the meds. I am one of the fortunate ones as I don't take any. Had cataract surgery on both eyes and it makes a world of difference. Only occasionally need the readers if the light is low. Hope your weather stays dry as we are going to get more rain this week. Ground is so wet it puddles all over. You take care and like I said, best wishes with the meds.

Back in the dark ages, when I was in my teens, my folks had a salt or pepper shaker that looked like a genuine Coors bottle, but was only about 3" high. I took a picture with that and some trout, only 6" to 8" long, that I had caught. I saw that picture somewhere a few years ago, but it was in poor condition and probably got thrown away.

:woot: for being better than last year!!! Hope the missus gets her sleep straightened out. I know it stinks to have sleep issues.

He left it up to me.... so I'm gonna keep taking it... it's the lowest dose you can take and I haven't had any issues since I've been on it, so....

Thx Susan. Hope it continues to work out for you. Had to take a day of r & r after babysitting. The kids are used to running in the fenced in yard. Taking both for a "walk" was quite the task... Have a good day and try to stay dry. They say we might have a nice weekend with more rain fore Cx ast for next week :annoyed:.

Progress! In spite of the rain, and the lack of cranes to rent. They used a forklift with boom to get the trusses up.

One of my greatest feelings was when I could see some walls up on my garage when I had it built. The next was the thrill of getting my Certificate of Occupancy.
The replanted area of my lawn needs another mowing. Maybe next day or two if I find the time from taking it easy. Retirement is hard work.

A late neighbor gave two to me over 30 years ago. Have caught maybe 4 gophers and a few moles so far this year. A few years back "bagged" I think a dozen gophers, no garden this year.

    Morning all:
Another one down, many more to go Duane, keep at it!

Been noticing something over the last few months, there seems to be an abnormal amount of small plane crashes, too many unqualified people with pilots licenses, or just poorly maintained equipment. :notsure:
