Sadly, spinning drives are a thing of the past. With SSD and cloud storage, I can store my stuff and not worry about mechanical failure. I always used Western Digital drives, but when you are dealing with an OS like Windows you always get bad sectors. I always said badly written code beats a system to death because it keeps writing and re-writing files. Watch the read/writes in task manager on any windows OS sometimes. The damn thing is constantly moving shit. Unix is far better in terms of file management. But Microsoft has bullied their way to the top, so everyone has to deal with their shitty code.
I still use my old WD drives since they are mainly storage. I let the SSD take the pounding from the OS and just keep data on the spinners. Since I have so many, I generally run the spinners as RAID drives. I also keep backups on portable drives and cloud storage. These days, any drive less than 1/2 a terabyte is junk. Crazy stuff, as I remember when 1 Gig was a huge drive.

I’m talking if your well pumps into a cistern and a booster pump and bladder tank supply to house. If you don’t have a cistern and your well pumps directly to system, you have a leak

I am still waiting for a lower price and larger size on the SSD, just a big flash drive, but it makes sense.

I Remember a dollar a meg on hdd.

Those pressure tanks are better designed to absorb shock. It'll take the "jump" out of the system when the pump kicks on or off. I've never seen a system have a booster pump without having a holding tank/cistern. So the well pump would fill the reservoir and the booster would pressurize the sytem from there to the house/shop/ end user. Not to say there can't be a pressure tank without a reservoir, I just haven't seen one.

Check the easiest stuff first, it'll usually be the easiest and cheapest. I think worst case is you may have a bad footvalve in the well pump causing it to bleed down.

My seasonal is really good at this stuff and I've learned a lot from him. But I'm sure he's forgotten way more than I'll ever learn.

But there's other stuff that could be going on....crack in the pipe, leaking joint. Those are usually identified by wet ground somewhere. I've seen those take weeks to find.

So lately we've been testing different hotdogs and brats. My son and I have been kicking around the idea of meatless dogs...I'm sorry but those things are depressing. I cook them just like the carnivore preferred but they don't come out the same. One of the things I do is cut one long ways. This allows me to see how the fat cooks out and, on some, the taste more resembles bacon. Those substitute dogs remind me more of melted rubber.

I think what I need to do is find someone that doesn't eat meat and use them as guinea pigs because I keep coming up with "why?". I don't mean to stir the pot with those who don't eat meat, but all I've tried keep ending up in the "No" pile.

Little grill is great for a house of two. Trying to see how tender I can get top sirloin with a little help from mechanical and marinade.
