And if you’re doing it for health you can still enjoy your old foods just in moderation. I’m done with meet on any regular basis but for my birthday I still went and ate a $150 authentic wagyu steak, and will probably have a ribeye for New Years.

Let’s all keep in mind how many major CEOs of agriculture and food industry are major leaders in the FDA. We actually shouldn’t eat as much meat as we do.

Yes! That is what I do too. I went to Red Robin a couple of weeks ago and had a big cow burger. I like the taste and did feel like a brick in my gut about an hour later. Also had bison meat loaf last week that did well. I don’t even know what an wagyu steak is, need to google it.

    Edit: Wagyu steak looks awesome!

Sorry but that friend needs a forceful wake up call...Forcing his pets to eat vegan is animal abuse in and of itself, they will become malnourished in short order. Cats and dogs need meat as a part of their regular diet.

It bothers me so much when I hear that people force their pets to have the same diet restrictions as them. And its kind of ironic in a sad way

Actually last I checked dogs do well on a vegan diet. My dog was vegan and he did well. Not sure about cats, I heard there are some issues with them and vegan diet. But vegan technology is making progress. For example, they are able to grow actual meat in the lab, and I read an article that this sort of man made meat and other types of meat substitutes will get more abundant in the future.

:notsure: why do we talk about guns, or gardening, or fishing, or bodily emissions?

Actually I was here only to find out how to get a non-leather Tacoma and this vegan conversation started from that. I guess a lot of people who are truck owners are also outdoors people and hunters, so this topic got lots of attention. But I got some answers to my question as well. Also, I sent an email to Toyota today about this question. If they respond back I will post it here. Hopefully it will be useful to others who are looking for a more vegan Tacoma.

I'd also like to talk about guns. Own a few myself. Probably a good topic for a new thread.

I'm sure this has been covered but it's not real leather. No need to email Toyota.

Thanks for the info. I think from what I heard it can depend on the particular trim and year. Would be nice to get a more official answer from Toyota. Will see.

I'm not sure how man made, lab grown meat would be better than no meat at all. :puke:

Pretty sure it just you bud but hey, it's OK to be different. If we were all the same the world would be a boring place.

Cool. I might post something there.
It wouldn't be healthy I assume, but would be better in terms of reducing suffering and negative environmental impact, I assume. Not an expert in this stuff. Just what I read in an article a few days ago.

Since we are on the topic, how do you guys reconcile the use and consumption of
    Beer
    Sugar
    Perfume
    Makeup
    Plastic bags
    Crayons
    Condoms
    Many kinds of oils

And about a million other things that are produced using animal fat and bone?
    Serious question.
