You can do that yourself, if I can do it anyone can lol. I just had a local welder drill the exhaust and weld the bung for me, the wiring part I did myself which was easy. And I suck at anything electrical.

Your AFR numbers are good to know whether or not you have any fuel upgrades. In fact, the AFR gauge will let you know if you need to install fuel upgrades or not (probably do since most 3.4s need something).

When in closed loop you want your AFR to at or around 14.7, once you start getting into boost you want to see that number get richer by going lower. If you mash the throttle and still see numbers in the high 13s or 14s then you're running way lean. Right now, without an AFR gauge you don't know if that's the case or not.
At wide open throttle your system goes into open loop and the AFR should get richer, rich enough to prevent you from pinging and hurting the motor.

Something like the 7th injector or methanol is programmed to start spraying extra fuel or meth into the intake when you hit certain boost/load and helps richen the AFR to prevent leaning out. This will all be reflected in the numbers you see on the AFR gauge.

Someone here can probably explain it way better and in more technical detail than I can, but that's my basic understanding of it.

 

At 9.5:1 compression I don't think the 5VZ is gonna care a whole lot, maybe 89 would help on hot days that you're climbing hills
