I mean you have CA with more troops and vessels ...

But yeah, a 10/22 was the first thing I got after I finished basic training (turned 18 during it).

the cost of ammo is starting to catch up with me especially after our last trip out and like 6 solid hours of shooting lol
Then we got that class coming up that requires 800 rounds... But it's all fun and I'll keep looking for bulk ammo deals.

Because of election season fast approaching, I’d buy as much ammo as you can.

Finished and got cert. I mean, that was great basic info for a total beginner. I think Hunters Ed was better because you got to handle and shoot a real firearm as well as fake firearms with working actions with fake cartridges. I don't see how this class is going to prevent any kind of gun crime. It's pretty silly.

Any of you attend any classes around our area? I took the basic west coast self defense carbine class last week. It wasn’t amazing but it was fun and I’m looking for additional options. (No struggling not to pick up a Glock to run pistol classes as well)

Kagwerks and Thunder Ranch are what you want. Clint from TR is a multi-decade killer from the Corps and LE based outta south OR, and Kag is high speed gunfighting in WA from Ranger Batt.

One drawback to TR is their ammo restrictions for classes (leadfree/frangible) which makes it even more unaffordable. His courses are already pretty expensive, then you have to tack on very high ammo cost too. Take the Urban Rifle class for example. Tuition is $1,080 and says nominal 900 rounds. 1,000 rounds of Fiocchi frangible ammo from Target Sports USA is $600, so double the cost of your typical case of training ammo.

    Ouch.

Those will be some fun classes once I get some more basic ones out of the way.
